Statue of a British soldier of the First World War in full uniform and equipment, advancing his rifle at the port.

This memorial was unveiled at the Cotton Exchange by
Field Marshall Earl Haig of Bemersyde on 5th April 1922
It is dedicated to those men from
The Liverpool Cotton Association
who died for their country in defence of liberty and justice in the
Great War 1914-1918 and World War 1939-1945
Their name liveth forevermore
