Description

Stone statue of Saint Nicholas with a ship in his hand, in a niche above the entrance of Saint Nicholas' Church. The church was built in 1858, designed by Darlington architect J. Pritchett.

According to the Illustrated London News the carver was W.E. Jackson - it is not sure if he also made the statue.
