Description

Commemorative plaque with a bronze relief depicting, in cross section, the interior of a submarine in which sailors carry out their work in cramped conditions. On either side, sea creatures in human form surround the vessel with nets and seaweed. Below this is shown a submarine on the surface. The plaque is flanked with two statuettes, TRVTH and JVSTICE. To the left and right is a list of lost submarines 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.
