Description

Steel silhouettes of four figures – three female and one male – standing closely together in a semi-circle with their arms around one another's shoulders. In front of the silhouettes are two marker posts with children's faces.
For this sculpture, the sculptor worked with pupils at two nearby schools. For the main sculpture, she invited GCSE art students at Hasland Hall Community School to make 'a contemporary and positive image of teenagers with the idea of Botticelli's Three Graces in mind.'
For the marker posts, pupils at nearby Hady Primary School made drawings of children's faces, which she translated into small bronze reliefs.
