The Good Guys and the Bad Guys

David Mach
2000

Chesterfield / The Good Guys and the Bad Guys   Chesterfield / The Good Guys and the Bad Guys

Description

The artwork consists of a crouching, double-headed, gargoyle-like creature and a pair of standing angels integrated into the forms of the surrounding architecture. The sculptor described his work as 'depicting the symbolic battle between good and evil;. He drew his symbolism from the innocent angels and monstrous gargoyles that traditionally ornament Gothic churches.
