Description

Large snail shell (5x8x2-4 m) made from brushed stainless-steel plate sections with perforated stainless-steel plate 'portholes', and internal fibre-optic lighting. Inscribed in the concrete plates around the sculpture are c. 100 signatures of former employees of Markham Engineering Works - The location of the sculpture is the site of the former Markham works
