The bust is a later cast of the bust made in in 1962 by the Asociacion Nacional Escultista Mexicana Caballeros y Guias Aztecas (the National Association of Mexican Scouts and Aztec Guides) for its 25th anniversary. Four replicas were made, the one in Gillwell park was donated in 1968 to Lady Olave Baden-Powell by the Mexican ambassador Eduardo Suarez.
