A giant aluminium and steel sculpture of a kestrel, standing at 2.5m high with a 15ft wingspan atop the highest point between Great Notley and the coast. Each face of the plinth features four metal reliefs showing scenes from nature designed by local schoolchildren.

It was originally installed in 2000, and has become a much loved symbol of Braintree. Unfortunately the sculpture was stolen in 2007, and the artist made a replica, which was installed in 2008.
