Description

Stone statue of a nurse wih a child, reminiscent of the Madonna with Child (therefore, it is also described as 'Mother with child'). The house is a former district nurses' home.

Eric Gill (Steyning, Sussex 1882 - 1940), English sculptor, typeface designer, stonecutter and printmaker (Wikipedia).
