English knight who became famous as the commander of King Henry V's longbow wielding archers at the Battle of Agincourt. He was immortalised as a character in the play Henry V by William Shakespeare

Description

Small stone kneeling statue of sir Thomas Erpingham in a niche in the gatehouse. The statue is of unknown origin and placed in the gate in the 18th century.
