Over 28ft tall monument made from fine Whitbed Portland stone and granite. A three-stepped base is surmounted by tall pedestal and a winged victory on an orb holding an inverted sword and laurel wreath. The memorial is flanked by figures of
- St. George standing in armour on the dragon's head.
- Peace, a women with a dove.
