Annotation

Norfolk Chronicle - Saturday 1 November 1851:

The likeness has been admirably caught and transferred, the front of the pedestal bears the following inscription from the pen of Mr. Justice Talfourd - a becoming tribute of the genius of the author of "Ion" to the memory of a former Chief of the Court in which he sits.
