The Théatre des Célestins was designed by Gaspard AndrĂ©, and inaugurated in 1877. The façade shows two allegorical statues by Roubaud and three busts, sculpted by Pagny, with writers representing tragedy (Hugo), Comedy (Musset) and Vaudeville (Scribe).
