The 1959 monument by Georges Salendre is a kind of obelisk with a statue of Marianne, allegory of France, with flags.

In 2010* were added on the square behind the 1959 monument six steles with photo-portraits of generals and resistance fighters. At the same time on the back of 1959 monument a placque with the appeal of 18 June 1940 was added. (* Google Streetview between June 2008 and July 2012, probably at the 70th anniversary of the appeal of 18 June 1940).
