Sculpture of a nude boy leaning against a rock, having a ram's horn in his left hand and drawing with his right hand a on the ground. On the socle the name GIOTTO. While the young Giotto watched his father's goats, 'he spent his time drawing on the stones, on the ground, or in the sand, what he could see in front of him or what his imagination inspired.'
As model for the statue served the sculptor's son Charles.
The garden of the Palais Saint-Pierre is a municipal garden located within the the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon. It is a rectangular garden delimited by the arcades of the old cloister of the Benedictine abbey. It is located right in the city center on the peninsula. Like the Museum, the garden is open every day, except Tuesdays and holidays.
In the garden a number of sculptures of the museum is placed:
