Description

Statue of Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. Bourdelle presented this personal tribute at the Salon of the Société nationale des beaux-arts. The idea of the work seems be a result of an order placed by Jacques Doucet of a bust of Carpeaux. This work seems to be a unique cast acquired by the museum as early as 1910.
