Description

Large statue of Fame sitting on a prancing horse. It stands on the central dome of the Grandes écuries (Great Stables). The statue is a copy of the marble statue commissioned in 1699 for the decoration of the park of Marly, transfered in 1719 to the entrance to the Tuileries Garden, replaced in 1986 by copies.

The original on the dome was molten during the French Revolution and replaced by a copy
