Stone monument, sculpted by Laoust. An enormous terrestrial globe with at the front a relief of a Blériot XI, raises from some clouds. Placed on a richly decorated pedestal with texts and a bronze portrait medaillon, circumscribed ingénieur blério, made by Carlier. The pedestal is flanked by two lower pedestal which carried birds (the originals were lost, they were replaced by new ones sculpted by Gernez, which are now seriously damaged), with on the sides the coats of arms of France (a rooster)and Great-Britain.
