Description

The church is inaugurated 1933 and is considered one of the major works of architect Pierre Leprince-Ringuet (1874-1954), with sculptures by Gaumont. The front façade of the church is decorated with several concrete reliefs.

Above the portal is a almost freestanding statue of Saint Martin on horseback, sharing his cloak with a beggar.
St. Martin (Savaria, Pannonia (now Szombathely, Hungary), 316 - Candes-Saint-Martin, Gaul 397), 3rd Bishop of Tours. Around his name much legendary material accrued and he has become one of the most familiar and recognizable Christian saints (Wikipedia).

Flanking the upper part of the porch are reliefs with the symbols of the four evangelists.
