Description

Bronze statue of Jeanne d'Arc, called Prière avant le combat ('The Prayer before the Battle'). Jeanne d'Arc is depicted in armour with her hands folded before here and holding a sword with her right hand. Behand her are her helmet and armoured gloves.

Annotation

This bronze statue is a reduction of the marble original made in 1836. Four bronze copies were made and donated to Domremy, Orléans, Compiègne and Eu.
