Annotation

From 1803 - 1854 it was placed on the Place du Martroi, where it was in 1855 replaced with Foyatier's equestrian statue. The new location of Gois' statue was the Place Dauphiné and the southern end of the Pont Royal, and in 1955 it was relocated to the present location. The four bas-reliefs from the pedestal are now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts at Orléans.
