Annotation

The fountain was built following the legacy of the carpenter EdméCoulon. In his will written six days before his death he wrote: "to deliver and pay to the city of Bourges and the municipality of Bourges, 30 months after my death, without interest, a sum of 6000 francs which is a legacy to the city and municipality of Bourges, with the commission to build a fountain on the Place Saint Pierre le Puellier as appropriate."
