Mural artwork depicting eight slate workers and represents the different stages of the work with slate. It is a bas relief affixed to a retaining wall. The workers are made of reinforced concrete and the background is made of slate and Givet limestone.

NB. On the both signs therefore and most website this mural artwork is called a "fresco" ("fresque" in French). A fresco is however a technique of mural painting executed upon freshly laid, or wet lime plaster, which is here not the case .
