Description

Tympan with a sculpture group showing Notre Dame de Délivrance (Our Lady of Deliverance), sitting on a throne, flanked by kneeling figures of Geoffroy Botrel, the Lord of Quintin, (left) and the Patriarch of Jerusalem (right). Botrel holds the box with a relic of Our Lady's belt, which the Patriarch (Robert de Nantes was patriarch 1240-1254) had given to him. The Notre-Dame de Délivrance Basilica still holds this relic, brought back from the Holy Land by Botrel in 1250.
The background is a relief of the church with a ribbon with the text n.d. de delivrance - protegez novs
