Annotation

The breeding of horses is a activity of Callac, which has a stud farm since the nineteenth century. Minister of Fine Arts, Andre Cornu, a native of the department, commissiond a bronze statue from the wildlife sculptor Guyot for Callac. The town chooses to pay tribute to the stallion named Naous, who died in 1951 after eighteen years of service, and whose presence and effectiveness have made a time of glory for the city.
