Granite sculpture of a strong nude man.
V. Jansson | 1913
This work was originally titled 'Ready'. The heroic granite statue is a celebration of robust physical strength. The former assistant chief of police and well-known athlete, Kaarlo Soinio, modelled for the work. The work was sculpted on commission from Uno Staudinger in 1913 and was placed in a niche in the wall surrounding the Ensi hospital, later known as Villa Ensi.
