Description

Statue of José Salazar Molina with an anonymous guitarist. The sculptural group was placed on a granite pedestal and oriented towards the Ermita de la Soledad, so that he seemed to 'sing' to Our Lady of the Soledad, Patron of Badajoz. On the bases are Salazar's dates 1924 and 1977, and in front of the statue a coat of arms of the Marqués de Porrino showing I. an ace of clubs, II. column and the lion (coat of arms of Badajoz), III. a carnation, IV. glasses, and the motto gladio voceque vivo.
