The Danza de las Flores (Flower Dance) is a tradional dance of the village of Tegueste. The Dance consists of arches adorned with flowers and ribbons with different shades attached to a pole. At the top it has a plume of flowers as if it were a crown. Around it the dancers dance the tajaraste to the sound of the drum and the castanets. It is performed by six to twelve dancers, always in even numbers, dressed in white with a feathered plume hat and, on the back, two wide silk bands of different colours, knotted and hanging from the sides.
The sculpture group constists of a drummer, a man holding the pole with the plume of flowers, and a woman with an flower-and-ribbon arch attached to the pole.
