plaza de santa cruz de santiago de tenerife,
el título de capital de la provincia de canarias.

a este hijo esclarecido

square of Santa Cruz de Santiago de Tenerife,
the title of capital of the province of the Canary Islands.

The municipal corporation as a sign of gratitude
to this enlightened son
con motivo del bicentenario de la concesion
del titulo de villa exenta de santa cruz
de santiago de tenerife, siende alcalde
de la ciudad el ilmo. st. don miguel zerolo
aguilarse inauguro esta escultura realizada
por roberto barrera martin, inspirada en
bocetos de francisco borges salas y
fundida por escultura bronzo.

On the occasion of the bicentenary of the concession
of the title of villa exempt to Santa Cruz
de Santiago de Tenerife, being mayor
of the city the don Miguel Zerolo
Aguilarse inaugurated this sculpture made
by Roberto Barrera Martín, inspired by
sketches by Francisco Borges Salas and
cast by Esculturas Bronzo
