Description

Stone commemorative plaque with relief portrait.

La Orotava - Leonor Pérez Cabrera

Leonor Pérez has no relation with La Orotava, the plaque is a reminder of the relations between La Orotava and Sancti Spiritus, two island villages on Tenerife and Cuba, respectively, "united by a sea of blue crystal flowers," as the poet of water and Teide, the Cuban Dulce María Loynaz, adopted daughter of Puerto de la Cruz (her bust in that town) and winner of the Cervantes Prize in 1992, wrote.
