The information sign is almost complete unreadable. The text is according to 'Escultura urbana':
Mural que representa a un Piquero del siglo XVI, origen de este Regimiento, provisto de capacete, peto, espaldar, escarcela o falzete (especie de falda metálica que forma un ángulo de 45 grado con el cuerpo para permitir al soldado libertad de movimientos), brazales, guarda-brazos y manoplas. Sus armas defensivas eran la pica y la espada, también utilizaban un escudo metálico ovalado o rodela. El tamaño de las variaba entre amplios márgenes, de dos metros y medio, hasta cinco como las usadas en las campañas de Túnez.
En el otro extremo, soldado del Regimiento con equipo de combate actual, casco, chaleco antifragmento, porta equipo de combato (PECO) y uniforme de instrucción mimetizado, como armamento lleva un fusil de asalto con dotación de munición. Entre ambos soldados, blasón del Regimiento Soria 9, el más antiguo de Europa, con la leyenda "1509-2009 al Servicio de España"

Mural representing a sixteenth-century Piquero, the origin of this Regiment, provided with a capacete, breastplate, back, pouch or falzete (a kind of metal skirt that forms a 45 degree angle with the body to allow the soldier freedom of movement) Bracers, arm guards and mittens, their defensive weapons were the pike and the sword, they also used an oval metallic shield, the size varied between wide margins, of two and a half meters, up to five as those used in Tunis campaigns.
At the other extreme, a soldier of the Regiment with current combat equipment, helmet, anti-fragment vest, carrying combat equipment (PECO) and imitation training uniform, as weapons carrying an assault rifle with ammunition. Between both soldiers, the blazon of the Regiment Soria 9, the oldest of Europe, with the legend "1509-2009 in the Service of Spain"
