Description

Sculpture showing a returned seaman embracing his wife and daughter around a net, with a basket of fish at their feet.

This statue stands a few meters from the 'Mirando al mar' monument to the sailor by the same sculptor and which is unveiled on the same day and has an identical sign.

The municipality of La Oliva pays homage to the
men and women of the sea and their families, who in
hard times contributed significantly to the
development of Corralejo.
