Around the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium are several sculptures and sculpture groups by Juan Bordes. The most prominent on the outside are:
- On top of the auditorium: El Rascacio / The Scorpiofish, steel fish as weather vane.
- At the entrance: Caboso, aluminium and steel, a small fish of the pools of Las Canteras transmuted into an anthropomorphic monster with bulging eyes and full lips, a guardian of the entrance.
- On the façade facing the ocean: La Medusa, aluminium and bronze head of Medusa.
The 'Auditorio Alfredo Kraus y Palacio de Cogresos de Canarias' was built by the Catalan architect Oscar Tusquets together with the Canarian architects Agustín Juárez and Carlos Díaz.
- Juan Bordes Caballero (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 1948),
Spanish-Canarian sculptor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
