Description
Bronze statue of Thorvaldsen sitting on a couple of wooden crates. In his hand he holds a modelling tool. The damp cloth has been taken from the clay figure, which is a first version of the Self Portrait Statue leaning against "Hope" (1839, Thorvaldsens Museum).
