Description

The Savings Bank, built 1934-34 after designs by Johannes Klass has a sandstone relief and six figures supporting the protruding second floor.

'Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz' / common good goes before self-interest
Relief with a family - man, woman and two children - symbolizing the benefit to the public, social helpfulness and security (referring to the 'Winterhilfswerk').

Along the high window at the top floors are reliefs of the twelve signs of the zodiac.
