Description

The Haus zum Breiten Herd was built in 1584.

A stone relief frieze between the first and second floor of the house shows in five fields poychrome reliefs of the five senses of man represented as allegorical women sitting in a landscape accompanied by an animal. The stonecutter followed the examples by Frans Floris de Vriendt I. The frieze is in 2005 restored and reconstructed.
