Description

Oval fountain basin, with in the center three intertwined water-spouting dolphins carrying a bowl from which originally rose a bronze sculpture of a drinking girl, replaced by a girl drinking from a bowl.

The original bronze sculpture by Max Unger-Steglitz was melted in 1942; a second sculpture by Ulrich Holland from 1989 was stolen in 1992; the present sculpture by Markus Gläser dates from 1993.
