Description

Boulder with in relief a dolphin, sea bird, seal and some fish, and the text "Wir mahnen im Namen der Nordsee". Next to it lies a stone plaque with a map of the North sea and text:

Vor ca. 150.000 oder 120.000 Jahren während einer der beiden Kaltzeiten der Saale Eiszeit wurde dieser Findling bis Niedersachsen transportiert. Vergleicht man die rechte Hälfte des Steines mit dem Umriss auf dieser Tafel, erkent man die Form der Nordsee. Dieser Findling klagt alle an, die weiterhin versuchen die Nordsee zu mißbrauchen.
(About 150,000 or 120,000 years ago, during one of the cold periods of the Saale ice age, this boulder was carried to Lower Saxony. Comparing the right half of the stone with the outline on this table, one can recognize the shape of the North Sea. This boulder accuses those who continue to try to abuse the North Sea.)

And at the bottom of the plaque: "Fundort Walsrode Juni 1988" and "Helgoland 12. Juli 1991".

This plaque is almost completely covered by sand. In 2005 this boulder and plaque were in a small green area and much better visible.
