Description

Bust of Luther in the garden of Luther's birth house.
The bust was donated in 1817 - on the 300th anniversary of the posting of the Theses - by the Mansfeld Copper Shale Building Union for the house where it was born. It is a cast iron replica of a monument designed by the Berlin sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow in 1806.
