Description

Statue of Leopold I of Anhalt-Dessau.
It was created by August Kiß after the monument by Schadow in the Lustgarten in Berlin. The original Berlin monument was made of marble and was replaced by cast bronze copies in 1855. Schadow gave Prince Franz the auxiliary model that he had made for his Berlin monument. The "Dessau copy" was also cast in bronze and erected in 1860.
