Der Neanderthaler im Kreis Eine der aktuellen Großbaustellen Mettmanns, der Sammler West, war mit einem Betonrohrteil und dem Zeichen der Baufirma gekennzeichnet, plaziert auf meiner Wegstrecke von Mettmann ins Neandertal an der Eidamshauser Straße. Es galt, den Neanderthaler in diesen Kreis zu stellen und für beides einen geeigneten Standort am Beginn des 3,5 km langen Evolutionspfades von Mettmann zum Neanderthalmuseufn zu finden. Die Künstlerin Elke Tenderich-Veit für die Bronzeskulptur zu gewinnen;: war ein Glücksfall. Es entstand ein Bronze-Neanderthaler, der Sympathieträger für sich und die Stadt Mettmann ist. - Als Kulturmensch, der er war, tritt er höflich aus dem Kreis zurück, um anderen den Vortritt zu lassen. Das industriell gefertigte Betonelement als Zeitzeichen von heute blickt er kritisch an. Richard Bödeker - 1997 Gefördert durch:

Neanderthal Man in a Circle One of Mettmann's current major construction sites, the West collector, was marked with a concrete pipe part and the sign of the construction company, placed on my route from Mettmann to the Neandertal on Eidamshauser Straße. It was necessary to place the Neanderthal man in this circle and to find for both a suitable location at the beginning of the 3.5 km long evolution path from Mettmann to the Neanderthal museum. To win the artist Elke Tenderich-Veit for the bronze sculpture was a stroke of luck. A bronze Neanderthal man was created, the sympathizer for himself and the city of Mettmann. - As a cultured person, who he was, he politely steps back from the circle, to let others take precedence. He takes a critical look at the industrially manufactured concrete element as a sign of today's times. |
