Description

Sculpture of a recalcitrant goat being pulled along by a boy.

Rees - Ziege

Information Sign

Ziege
Zweiten Weltkrieg verbreitete Ziegenhaltung
ferten Ausruf:
„In Rääs, dor kiike de'Tsekke dör de Glääs“
Goat
The bronze sculpture is reminiscent of the long period, until
the Second World War, of widespread goat keeping
(poor man's cow) in the town center of Rees.
There is a certain mockery about this in the traditional
exclamation:
„In Rääs, dor kiike de'Tsekke dör de Glääs“
(English: in Rees, there the goats look through
the windows)!
