Description

Wall with a stone relief of a soldier comforted by Jesus, which is explained in the poem below.

Inscription(s)

du hast in blutiger kriegesnot
mit mir dein kreuz getragen
nun steigt das ostermorgenrot
und es beginnt zu tagen
komm bruder an mein treues herz
da heilen deine wunden
da wirst du bald von jeden schmerz
in seligkeit gesunden
You had in bloody war-distress
carried your cross with me
now the morning red is rising in the east
and it begins to dawn
come brother to my faithful heart
there your wounds will heal
there you will soon be relieved of every pain
sent in salvation
