Description

Sculpture of a woman welcoming with open arms the visitors of Rhyhern.

The decision that the sculpture should be female came from the artist himself. His primary source of inspiration was his wife Joyce. "For the feet and the head, I had her as model." The idea for the legs of the native Westphalian woman come from actress and Tatort-commissar Maria Furtwängler. "She has beautifully shaped, strong legs," says the artist.
