On two (or more?) location in the town of Olpe is a circular plaque with a portrait of the town-founder Elector Heinrich II of Cologne, circumscribed "kurfürst heinrich von köln - 1311 stadtgründer von olpe".

At the wall near the stairs on the Kurkölner Platz is a second plaque with the coats of arms of the Electorate of Cologne and the counts of Virneburg, with the text:
