Description
Above the doorway, the parable of the sower is illustrated. The seed is picked by the birds - or falls among thorns - or brings rich fruit.
The good fruit is displayed on the three wings of the door.
First there is the octagon with illustrations from the Old testament:
2a. Three angels in the grove of Mamre |
1b. The dove with the olive branch |
1a. Noah and the Ark |
 2b. Abraham and Isaac |
 3. The three Magi |
 4. Moses and Elijah |
- Right and top right of the octagon: Noah, who built the ark is built on instructions of God. Above him a dove brings him an olive branch as a a peace sign.
- Left and top left of the octagon: The three angels in the grove of Mamre, who promised a son (Isaac) to Abraham. In equally unshakable faith in God, he is willing to sacrifice his son to God - which is prevented by an angel.
- Bottom left of the octagon: Moses and Elijah, God's healing tools.
- Bottom right of the octagon: The three Magi.
Along the vertical axis, from bottom to top:
- Bottom: The Annunciation.
- St. Joseph
- Birth of Jesus.
- Crucifixion of Jesus.
- Ascension of Jesus.
 5. Annunciation |
 6. St. Joseph |
 7. Birth of Jesus |
 8. Golgotha |
 9. Ascension |
Around the Birth and Crucifixion scene is a circle of believers.
