Description

3.3 m high stylized tree entwined with seven root strangs which open in seven compartments and than join again into a cup, open to the word. In the seven compartments are seven images, six of them show the works of mercy (Matthew 25: 31-16):
  1. Nackte kleiden / To clothe the naked.
  2. Kranke pflegen / To visit the sick.
  3. Gefangene besuchen / To visit the imprisoned.
  4. Durstige tränken / To give drink to the thirsty.
  5. Fremde beherbergen / To harbour the harbourless.
  6. Hungrige speisen / To feed the hungry.

  7. The seventh image shows a nun teaching three children, symbolizing the task of mankind to spread the Christian faith.
