Description

Three polychrome sandstone(?) statues in niches of the former priory, now rectory:
  1. St. Walburga / St. Walpurga (England c. 710- Heidenheim 779), English missionary to the Frankish Empire; abbess of the monastery in Heidenheim Germany (Wikipedia).
  2. St. Norbert (Xanten c. 1080 - Magdeburg 1134), founder of the Norbertine or Premonstratensian order of canons regular (Wikipedia).
  3. St. Laurentius / St. Lawrence (c. 225 - 258), one of the seven deacons of ancient Rome who were martyred during the persecution of Valerian. Usually holding a gridiron and wearing a dalmatic (Wikipedia).

Annotation

From the street the statues are difficult to see, except for the central statue of St. Norbert.
