Description

Stone memorial showing a dead soldier on a catafalque with his war attributes. At his feet an eagle seems to embrace the dead body with its wings.

Annotation

This memorial commemorates the residents of Syburg who died in the War of 1871-71, and the First and Second World War. It is placed in the ruins of the medieval castle Hohensyburg.
