Fountain depicting one of the most famous scenes from the Jobsiade, a work by the local historian Carl Arnold Kortum (1745-1824).
Depicted is the exam of the candidate Jobs, standing with his left leg on the stone pavement of the square and his right on the first semi-circular bronze disc. On the higher level sit two erudite, head-shaking examiners, a third stands between them.
At the other side of the fountain, opposite the young Jobs, the old Jobs is depicted, blowing his horn as a run-down night watchman.
